Story
Since I can remember, I have always had an interest in the natural world. Fascinated by things big and small around me. Whether that was bugs in the yard or fossils we would find while splashing through creek beds. I loved it all. As I aged, that love would become intertwined with an interest in form and design. This eventually led me to the world of gemstones. A perfect intersection of nature, science and art.
My work is purposeful. I draw influence from classic, antique shapes, while balancing those with the natural shape of the rough material. Finally, I use modern, precision techniques during the physical cutting and polishing process. This results in a stone which draws a line between antiquity and modern performance.
